Repurposing Live Streams with Descript

One of the new things we did recently in updating our process for repurposing a live stream into multiple types of content was to replace Temi with Descript. Descript is not only a great video editing tool but also a powerful transcription tool.

This means we no longer need to use Temi, which costs us 25 cents per minute of audio or video. Instead, we use Descript, which only costs $12 per month, saving us up to $45 per month.

Scheduling LinkedIn Content

I usually schedule my LinkedIn content in advance, ideally for a whole month. I assign specific things that I want to post every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

For example, on Thursdays, I usually post a case study and feature LinkedIn recommendations. I have also assigned specific themes for each day of the week based on the Shape framework by Molly, a social media guru.

Using Slack to Manage Thoughts

Every Friday, I transcribe my thoughts into Slack, which automatically provides a transcript for the voice messages I send to myself. This helps me manage my mind and organize my thoughts efficiently.

I then copied the transcript from Slack and put that into ChatGPT. Check out the full live stream on how I did that.



Using Feedbird for Analytics and Scheduling

I recently started exploring Feedbird, an AI tool specifically designed for LinkedIn. It provides detailed analytics for tracking your LinkedIn profile's performance, as well as post and comment scheduling. It also has a feature for generating post ideas and scheduling content, making it a powerful tool for streamlining your LinkedIn workflow.


Using ChatGPT to streamline my LinkedIn posts has been a game-changer for me. By repurposing live streams with Descript, scheduling my LinkedIn content in advance, using Slack to manage my thoughts, and integrating Feedbird for analytics and scheduling, I have improved my workflow and saved time while still producing high-quality content.
